DIRECTOR OF PROJECT ENGINEERING AND MANAGEMENT sought by SunCode LLC in Irvine, CA.

 

JOB DUTIES: Oversees the company’s Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) initiatives focusing on renewable energy and transmission line projects. Plan, direct and coordinate the engineering efforts during both the development and construction periods of all our projects. Analyze, design and develop of our construction projects. Negotiate and manage EPC contracts’ deliverables, schedules, and change orders; providing any support and documents required for project financing, and working with counter-parties such as utilities. Plan, implement, and research methodology and procedures to apply the theoretical and practical process to engineering development and projects. Evaluate operational systems, identify the nature of complex systems, and recommend improvements in process modifications. Analyze project requirements, determine feasibility of projects, and develop system plans. Oversee site preparation, inspections, and adhere to engineering policies, procedures, and company guidelines. Keep abreast of continually changing construction legislative policies. Telecommuting permitted up to 100%.Salary range: $150,000 to $170,000/year.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • EDUCATION:  Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering or any related field.

  • EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of project development, project management, engineering management or related experience in the clean/renewable energy field.

  • SPECIAL SKILLS: This position also requires at least two (2) years of experience in: Leading business development efforts for clean energy projects; Reviewing/approving power purchase agreements (PPAs) and interconnect contracts; Preparing/negotiating contracts for EPC and O&M (Operation and Maintenance); and Coordinating with cross-functional team members to ensure project completion.
